On September 29, the Dongguan Immigration Service Center held a grand inauguration ceremony, marking a significant advancement in the city's foreign-related services. The event was attended by key officials, including Lyu Yuanyuan, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of Organization, Qiao Lei, Vice Mayor and Director of Dongguan Public Security Bureau, and Liu Guoqiang, Director of the Provincial Public Security Department's Exit-Entry Administration.
Lyu Yuanyuan, representing the city's leadership, warmly welcomed attendees and congratulated the successful establishment of the center. He expressed gratitude to all units that supported its construction. Lyu emphasized that the new center, characterized by its impressive facilities and welcoming environment, serves as a starting point for further enhancing foreign talent services in Dongguan. He called for a commitment to high-end, international, and industrial approaches to achieve even greater results in attracting overseas talent.
After the inauguration, guests toured the new center, where Director Liu Guoqiang presented a Class A talent work permit to a foreign national applying for a visa. The individual praised the service experience at the center, noting how convenient and enjoyable life in Dongguan has been.
In recent years, Dongguan has actively implemented the directives from the central talent work conference, enhancing the city's appeal for talent in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The establishment of Dongguan Immigration Service Center represents a new milestone in Dongguan's efforts to create a high-quality talent service environment, supporting the city's goal of becoming a talent hub and innovation center within the Greater Bay Area.
The center adopts a "1+1+N" model, led by the Municipal Organization Department and involving various government agencies, to provide a platform for processing immigration matters and fostering communication. It offers a range of services, including policy consultation, work permits, residence permits, and social integration support for foreign residents. With 30 frequently requested services available on-site, the center covers all aspects of attracting, settling down, starting businesses, and integrating foreign talent into the community.
This movement not only addresses the concerns of overseas professionals but also encourages more foreign talent to choose Dongguan as their new home, contributing to the city's high-quality development. The center aims to ensure that Dongguan remains an attractive destination for global talent.
