3月27日，东莞市与多米尼克苏弗里耶尔区在北京市签署友好交流合作关系备忘录。2024年正值中多两国建交20周年，两市正式签署友好交流合作关系备忘录，将在经贸、旅游、人文等方面加强交流与合作，共同促进两地经济社会发展，为中多关系行稳致远贡献地方力量。多米尼克旅游部长、苏弗里耶尔区政府负责人丹尼丝·查尔斯（Hon. Denise Charles-Pemberton），多米尼克驻华大使马丁·查尔斯（H.E. Martin Charles），多米尼克总理办公室常秘米西·亨德森（Missi Henderson），市委常委、市政府副市长邢文聚，市委外办主任、市外事局局长谢玉华，市驻北京联络处主任黄天梁等出席签约仪式。

邢文聚对远道而来的丹尼丝·查尔斯部长一行表示热烈的欢迎和诚挚的问候。他表示，非常高兴在中多建交20周年之际，共同推动东莞市与苏弗里耶尔区的友好合作迈上新台阶。东莞是中国改革开放的先行者和开拓者，外向型经济和制造业非常发达。希望以这次双方签署共同发展友好交流合作关系备忘录为契机，进一步加强双方的交流合作，促进两地人民的相互了解与友谊。

丹尼丝·查尔斯表示，去年8月双方在线上进行云会晤，今天正式签署友好交流合作备忘录，意味着双方将建立更为紧密的合作关系。此次签约是双方合作关系的一个新起点，希望深入推动两地在经贸、旅游、文化等多领域的交流合作。

马丁·查尔斯表示，多米尼克始终恪守一个中国原则。2024年是中多建交20周年，对中多关系来说是一个新的开始，期待双方进一步加强友好往来，推动务实合作。

在京期间，应全国友协邀请，我市代表团还参加了庆祝中国—多米尼克建交20周年招待会。

据了解，多米尼克拥有“加勒比的自然之岛”的美誉，是《加勒比海盗》、《侏罗纪公园》等著名电影的取景地。苏弗里耶尔区（Soufriere Constituency）位于多米尼克西南海岸，接近多米尼克海洋保护区。海岛的自然风光与文化遗产璀璨交融，葱郁壮丽的群山与宁静蔚蓝的加勒比海在此相会，是潜水爱好者、徒步旅行者和博物学家眼中的未破坏天堂。

Dongguan, Soufriere Constituency Sign MOU to Build Friendship City Ties

On March 27, Dongguan City and Soufriere Constituency, the Commonwealth of Dominica, signed a MOU on friendship city relationship. 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations between China and Dominica. The formal signed MOU will facilitate exchanges and cooperation between Dongguan and Soufriere in economy and trade, tourism and people-to-people exchanges, and promote economic and social development of the two sides, making contributions to the China-Dominica relations.

Hon. Denise Charles-Pemberton, Dominica’s Minister for Tourism; H.E. Martin Charles, Dominica’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China; Missi Henderson, Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister; Xing Wenju, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Dongguan Committee, Deputy Mayor of Dongguan Municipal Government; Xie Yuhua, Director of Dongguan Foreign Affairs Bureau, and  Huang Tianliang, Director of Liaison Office of Dongguan in Beijing, among others attended the ceremony.

During the stay in Beijing, Dongguan Delegation also attended the Reception Marking the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Commonwealth of Dominica at the invitation of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
